Remove an object from your render

Brush over whatever you want gone and it is painted out using the surrounding surfaces. No account, no watermark, full resolution.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload your render

A JPG or PNG up to 12MB, between 256 and 6000 pixels on each side.

  2. 2

    Brush over the object

Paint a rough mask over what you want removed. Cover the object plus a little of what surrounds it — contact shadows and reflections belong to the object too, and leaving them behind is the most common reason a result looks wrong.

  3. 3

    Download the result

Compare it against the original with the slider, then download at full resolution.

What it can and can't do

Large objects are invented, not recovered

The pixels behind your object do not exist anywhere in the file. Removing a dining chair from a plain floor is close to lossless; removing a kitchen island reconstructs several square metres of cabinetry and flooring from nothing, and the result is a plausible guess rather than the room you modelled.

Contact shadows and reflections are separate objects

A mask drawn tightly around a sofa leaves its shadow on the rug and its reflection in the window. Both read instantly as wrong. Include them in the brush, even though it means masking a much larger area than the object itself.

Straight lines through the mask will bend

Skirting boards, window mullions, tile grout and ceiling coffers running behind the masked region are reconstructed by inference, and inference is poor at continuing a perfectly straight line across a wide gap. Removing something that sits against a strongly linear background is the hardest case for this tool.

It edits pixels, it does not re-render

Nothing here goes back to your 3D scene. Global illumination does not update, so the bounce light a red sofa was throwing onto a white wall stays after the sofa is gone. For a change that has to be physically correct, remove the object in your scene and re-render.

Questions

Do I need an account?
No. Upload, brush and download without signing up. An account is only needed if you want the result kept in a library and to keep working on it.
Is the result watermarked?
No. What you download is the full-resolution image with nothing added to it.
What happens to my render?
It is uploaded so the model can process it, and it is deleted automatically after 48 hours along with the result. If you create an account it moves into your library instead and stops being deleted.
What files can I upload?
JPG, PNG and WebP images up to 12MB, between 256 and 6000 pixels on each side. Video and 3D files are not accepted here.
Can I remove more than one object?
Yes — brush over everything you want gone in one pass, or run the tool again on the result. Removing several objects at once usually works better than several passes, because each pass reconstructs from the previous guess.
Why does the removed area look blurry?
Almost always because the masked region was large relative to the amount of surrounding surface to infer from. Masking tightly and running twice tends to beat one very large mask.
